V is for Very Best
We flew to Fallon for Thanksgiving this year.
To avoid the busiest days, we went Tuesday to Saturday and had no problems getting on any of the flights.
Sunrise on the way to Vegas.
We got to Fallon around 3:00. Headed to ice cream while waiting for Kelvingtons.
Jamie and Andy had to drive on a desert dirt road for part of their drive to avoid road closures.
We are all getting so big, every room is filled with people stuffed next to each other chatting.
Every single person is my favorite.
We have to stay in all the houses. Kelv at Rob's, us at Aaron's.
This picture is so "good morning cousins".
Me and Jamie dropped in at Britt's gym.
I'm over there trying to burn 5 calories as fast as I can on the suicide machine or whatever it's called.
The kids went to Moana 2,
Jim rolled into town,
Masons rolled into town.
Trips to Walmart, Maverick, play flag football on the turf.
Prepping for the big meal, make a chocolate pie.
Thanksgiving morning!
We had a dairy dash three miles around the dairy. It was the best weather.
We were sitting around at the finish line, and I wondered where Andrew ended up...
After a while as we were wrapping it all up, Andrew pulled up to the finish line crying.
Turns out he was running with Avery, but then Avery said she was going to stop in at grandma's to get a drink. He though she was going off the course to do so, so he left her and followed the pink around to do a second 1.5 mile loop around the dairy.
He didn't realize he had already gone this loop, but he just obeyed the pink arrows when he should have followed Avery toward Grandma's house.
He ran an extra mile.
I felt so bad for him. But at least he got a meme out of it:
How fun is it to stand around a frying turkey drinking a big gulp?
Waiting patiently for go time.
This year's meal was so so delicious. I usually love the Tgiving meal because it's classic, but this year it was genually so good. The stuffed mushrooms, the green bean cassorole from scratch, the smoked/fried turkey. The stuffing, the sweet potatoes. It all just killed. The rolls! the salads!
After eating, we headed out for some pictures.
All the cute cousins, with space for Kailyn on her mission.
We discussed doing a remake of this picture in the summer, but it didn't happen.
So we made it happen at Thanksgiving:

That log is scaryier than it looks to traverse. And there were major pokeys digging into our legs.
and we almost fell off. And we were die laughing. And Brandon was helping us get the remake right.
We got it 80 percent there.
This is the crew that made it happen. It was one of my favorite things of the trip.

Damon came second again.
Then we spent hours making charm bracelets/necklaces.
Also there was flag football.
Actually there was so much good stuff behind the scenes. It's hard to describe how wonderful the whole trip was.
I for reals love every single person so much. I don't even care who I'm sitting by, they are my favorite and I want to hug them forever.
Boy sleep over at Kim's.
Damon crashed on the couch. This is him in the morning with a roaring fire.
Chair soccer/bump at the church - the best.
There are a lot of competitive, amazing athletes in this family. It gets intense! Also so fun.
One time Damon and Jim were the final two at bump. Damon bumped Jim's ball away, blew him a kiss, then made the final basket.
haha I died.
Then we had to start saying goodbye and go home. Boo literally hoo.
It was the best week.
